Measuring just 4" × 2" × 2", this petite keepsake box combines the clean, light beauty of maple with the rich warmth of sapele. The contrasting woods give this little box an elegant, understated look, while the small brass hinges add a beautiful touch of old-world craftsmanship.
Inside, you'll find one of my favorite details: sparkly blue felt lining the bottom of the box and the underside of the lid. It adds just a little bit of unexpected fun and makes whatever you place inside feel even more special.
The box is finished with three coats of tung oil, carefully applied to enhance the natural color and grain of the wood while giving it a warm, hand-finished appearance.
At just 4 inches long, it's perfectly sized for a favorite piece of jewelry, a small keepsake, a special note, or another tiny treasure that deserves its own little home.
