A one-of-a-kind keepsake box made from beautiful locally grown Oregon wood.
This handcrafted box brings together locally grown oak and walnut, with an upcycled poplar base. The natural character of the wood is what makes this piece truly special—especially the incredible knot on the front that wraps around the side, creating a detail you won't find on another box.
The hinged lid opens to reveal green felt lining on both the bottom of the box and the underside of the lid, providing a soft and finished space for whatever treasures you choose to keep inside.
The box is finished with three coats of tung oil, carefully applied to enhance the natural color, figure, and grain of the wood while giving the piece a warm, hand-rubbed finish.
As with all Locally Grown Gifts pieces, this box is made by hand in my Oregon workshop using wood with a connection to the Pacific Northwest. The oak and walnut were locally grown, and the poplar base was given a second life rather than becoming waste.
No two pieces of locally grown wood are ever exactly alike. The grain, knots, and natural character make this box completely one of a kind.
